Item 1: 1929 GMC Truck Research & Engineering Brochure:
Dated June 1929 and entitled “Proved Reproved and Proved Again”, this 8.5 x 11, eight-page document is crammed with 22 photos and detailed text about the full extent of research, testing and engineering capabilities of the General Motors Truck Company in the late 1920’s.
Although performed over 90 years ago, their work is impressive, even by today’s standards…Faint crease visible on cover, staples partially rusted, text and images excellent.
Item 2: 1930 GMC Comprehensive Truck Operating Cost Analysis Brochure:
The first nine pages of this document contain the necessary forms, tables and information that would enable the owner of a circa 1930 GMC truck to determine all of the costs (initial investment, fixed, payroll and running) involved in operating a GMC truck in his or her business.
The General Motors Truck Company developed this cost analysis to ensure that a prospective truck buyer would be buying GMC trucks that would maximize business profits.
The remaining six pages provide photos, pricing and incredibly detailed specifications for the 1930 GMC T-11 trucks in cowl-and-chassis, panel and screen-side truck forms… Slight yellowing with age, all pages are factory hole-punched, only a few of which are torn.
