1939 White Horse Truck Brochure – Original

This is a partially complete 1939 White Horse delivery truck brochure.
It’s lacking a couple panels, roughly half of the brochure, as originally published.
The brochure is rare in that it was a preliminary brochure, published by White Motor Company’s marketing department in advance of the actual production release of White Horse delivery trucks.
The intent of releasing the brochure before the trucks became available was to generate enthusiasm for these innovative new trucks and to draw prospective customers into White truck dealerships as soon as the trucks were on dealer lots.
White truck salesmen likely used these preliminary brochures to show delivery fleets what was forthcoming and to garner early orders.
Later White Horse brochures and the actual trucks themselves revealed that some of the specifications in this early brochure were preliminary and incorrect.
This brochure captures White Motor Company’s earliest attempts to draw attention to this completely new and innovative delivery truck that was about to enter production.
