    Description

BULLET TLR 5.0 Drag race chassis kit
You are purchasing a chassis kit to change a TLR 22 4.0 or 5.0 buggy to a 10
    th
scale drag car.  This is not a beginners kit, and requires a donor car either a 4.0 or a 5.0 buggy.  This is not a complete kit, you have to come up with all the related hardware and spacers to finish this kit and the know how to build a car from scratch.  We currently use the TLR lay-down style transmission with an aluminum idler gear and the stock slipper clutch.
A Few small updates based on Racer
    Inputs:
3mm 3K replaces 2.5mm 3K carbon shock tower on these kits for increased strength.
Servo holes have been re-located to for standard servos
Front 4 chassis hexes have been reduced for extra strength
This kit has three parts ----chassis, bulkhead, and shock tower:
    6K Twill Carbon Chassis:
Chassis is a one piece CNC cut 6K twill carbon plate and is cut for a specific flex and stiffness.  This design is very crash resistant, as there are no standoffs or boxed structure chassis parts to rack or tweak in a crash.
One unique feature is the wheelbase is adjustable by moving the front suspension bulkhead to one of three settings 13in 13.5in and 14inch.
    Front bulkhead:
Accepts TLR 4.0 and 5.0 front suspension parts from your donor buggy.  4.0 steering rack is preferred for the ball joint mount for the servo.  Bulkhead can be used with and without shocks if allowed, and can be flipped to change hinge pin height.
    3K Twill carbon shock tower
Carbon fiber shock mount has the same angle and spacing to accept Exotek body mounts.  These mounts are expensive but worth the price, we think they are the best out there.  Shock angle is large to lay down the front shocks to lower front the body height.
    This car follows NPRC Rules
With the minimum weight limits now in the 1900 to 2000 gram range, cost of a competitive power system just went up exponentially.  Now you need a big expensive battery, big expensive speed control and a big 2.5 to 4.0 turn motor to push the weight.  Some of the best motors out there to make the needed power for 70+MPH at this weight are made by
    Fantom Racing,
and yes to be clear, my brother is connected to Fantom and we have run their products for years.
We feel this chassis is the best solution out there right now.  This chassis is adaptable and has run at 1550g to 2100G in weight and can be changed to match the constantly changing rules.
    Wheelie bar:
A nice wheelie bar can be had from ExoTek for .  I am in no way associated with Exotek, but for the money it is a great place to start and a quality product.  Another quality two wheel product is from Vanishing Point. We are looking at building a specific design, and are still testing.  Chassis also has extra mounting holes on the back for a future wheelie bar.
