I Figured since everyone else was making my product out of aluminum, so I should too. Make sure you ask the others to price match.
This part will help keep your center driveshaft from bending in a hard landing or crash. They are machined from 6061 aluminum material and have 2 support bearings installed. Both bearings are rubber shielded to help prevent debris from getting inside. I run these as fast as possible to keep the cost down for you. You never see this part once installed so I think sacrificing visual appeal for financial savings is worth it.
The through hole of the bearings are slightly larger than the diameter of the center shaft. The part is not meant for the shaft to constantly be riding on the bearings, rather provide center support if and when the chassis flexes on hard impacts which causes the center shaft to flex.
My delrin supports were the first on the market to offer a bearing support system. Over 100 units sold on eBay without a single failure. The delrin is lighter and a much better material for the job. I recommend running the delrin but I have made these in aluminum as well at a price far less than anyone else just because I could. Others can take my ideas but I highly doubt they can beat my price.
