Description

Vintage Speed's  cast iron Rochester secondary (end carb) small base.  These have all new shafts and throttle plates with the correct linkage, carb arm and return spring on base. We lap the throttle plates to the base bores on each and every base on a machine we designed. The dry poly-graphite applied to the throttle plates in our secondary bases, is yet another layer that prevents air intrusion AND lubricates the plates for easier opening.  Leaky bases cause more tri power problems than any other problem. All throttle arms ,shafts and throttle plates are new. If you want steel conversion bases these are the finest money can buy. (No core charge on these)  Another fine part from Charlie Price's Vintage Speed. NOTE--auction is for one base. You will need two for a tri power or one for a 2x2 setup run on progressive linkage.
